(c) STORY: Money, Power and Secrets Onboard the Titanic (200 words)

l'm sure most of you have seen James Cameron's 1997 epic romance film, 'Titanic' and so know how the tragic story ends, but did it really end that way? Do we need to re-write history and remake the film? lt seems almost ridiculous for anyone of that time to believe that a 50,000-ton ship would in fact be "unsinkable".
So, why now are there claims that an explosion onboard the 1911 White Star Line's voyage caused the ship to sink instead of hitting an iceberg? lt's said, a fierce fire lit inside one of its enormous coal bunkers, weakened an essential part of the ship's hull, which caused the ship's demise. Photos also reveal a 30-foot-long dark mark in front of the boiler room, which strengthens the claims even more.
And since most modern ships today are designed with two hulls, at the time of unveiling the design of Titanic, it was only fitted with one; the area where the coal was stored. Either way, there's still no escaping the fact that Titanic was sunk not because of explosions and an iceberg, but purely due to the drive of money, power and the need to make headlines, which indeed they got.
